Newspaper and breakfast items like tea and coffee are raw materials I use in my recent work as data for systems that generate complex circuits, conduits and logical forms. Out of sifted piles of data, information overload is filtered, processed and then deleted by way of painting. It's ritual. My work explores the shared relationships between eastern thought and modern physics. All things are connected the way strings, atoms and molecules make up every mass of the universe, where particles are conduits to other elements to become parts of the continuum. From eastern mysticism's vantage point, natural phenomena only indicate one truth or reality. What we perceive and feel can make sense only relative to objects around us and can be articulated in terms that are rooted in the human sensory system. But quantum physics has discovered a braver new world in warped geometry, spacetime and parallel universes beyond our sensorial realm.

Resistant to signature style and categories, Mariano Del Rosario's body of work is diverse. Each piece in context is unique yet each possesses the same DNA as the others. The thread that connects each work becomes evident when viewed as a whole and comes full circle like blood circulation. "I allow my work to evolve or devolve till it generates surprising results. Inspired by the grand unified theory, my art comes out of a hybrid culture, spirituality and political climates of our times".
