We mathematize our Universe, we geometrize it, we biologize it, we astronomize it trying to apply the so-called laws of Physics and laws of Chemistry, attempting thus to sift and to manipulate the multiple plots that weave it. We also divide this Universe into categories and we hierarchize and classify them , building rationalization strategies, weaving a possible fisherman’s network to try to capture some sense. In “Thinking/Classifying”, Georges Perec says : “How tempting is the eagerness to distribute the entire world according to a unique code: a universal law would govern a unique code: two hemispheres, five continents, masculine and feminine, animal and vegetable, plural singular, right left, four seasons, five senses, five vowels, seven days, twelve months, twenty-nine letters. Regrettably it does not work, it never worked, it will never work”.

The last exhibition intends to be a synthesis of what until today was developed in thought and concretion of works. The name of this exhibition was “INSTRUCTIONS - [stone/paper]”. Instructions we have acquired even before birth, from the very conception. We receive and transmit the genetic material that structures us and constitutes us in spite of our will. Today this transmission is trying to be manipulated. Instructions we receive when we design and build a human house. That is why we learn to be bricklayers, engineers, architects. The bees make their honeycombs, the birds their nests, but by means of their instinctual imprint. From – the so called - rationality we humans try to handle what we usually denominate laws of the Universe. The previous exhibition consisted of a series of masks. There also and following the same plot of thought, one can be asked why? why masks? because every “why” sends to the initial why , to the question about the existence, to the why of the things, why of life. One finally tries to provide some sense to life, as as a way to face emptiness, to the original meaningless one, unless we plug that heartbreaking question with a fiction, a belief that calms our anguish of existence

The construction of a Universe of sense will act as a fiction that makes possible to inhabit the so-called reality. Around vacuity one can, for example, create a set of masks. A mask is an indicating signal of something that must simultaneously be hidden and shown. And here, the mask would act that double function: the one that indicates us what we do not bare to see and the one that covers it at the same time. All in all, the mask, that empty shell, metaforizes the question of vacuity and does it by means of the anecdote, that calms anguish to us through, for example, a smile. The names of Fibonacci, Pascal, Sierpinski, Gauss belong to those humans who make that work from sciences as others can do it from other beliefs. Stone, paper,… does not concern the material, nor the form.We are always speaking of the same: we try to disclose,to deconstruct,to find out we are in the horror,the horror vacui.
