Janet Curley Cannon's work is an observation of the present day expressed through the surfaces and structures of the urban environment.  She's interested in the overlooked, the familiar, and places on the threshold of change. She manipulates the visual ephemera from forgotten surfaces along with social or political commentary to try and understand and convey aspects of contemporary life.
