Bay Gallery
Alexandra Willis is a London-based art dealer specialising in contemporary Aboriginal art and expanding to promote emerging artists working in the United Kingdom. Willis owns Bay Gallery and hosts exclusive Exhibition events in her Holland Park home showcasing new work: the collection features established and emerging artists.
Willis' aboriginal work is ethically sourced from the Utopian and Papunya community of the Northern Territory, Australia. The community’s work is beautiful abstracts based on their tribal dreamings. Aboriginal art is one of the world’s oldest art forms spanning over 50,000 year’s while also being described as the last great art movement of the 20th century.
A proportion of the sales go back into helping develop aboriginal community projects. Willis' aboriginal stock is authentically certified: without a certificate of authenticity you will not be able to on-sell the paintings via reputable dealers.
Taking a new direction in 2010, Bay Gallery is representing contemporary work of emerging British-based artists. Willis is focusing on innovative emerging work being produced in London. This new body of work presented by Bay Gallery promises to be inventive cross-disciplinary work.
Alexandra Willis hosts events throughout the year. The next event is Bay View: Tina Hage, Keh Ng, Lisa Slominski and Keli Reule, graduates of Goldsmiths and Central St Martins Colleges. If you would like to attend or to be added to the mailing list please email: alexandra@baygallerylondon.com
