- The prestigious Jury

Arte Laguna Art Prize has three sections as
in the previous editions: Painting, Sculpture and Photographic
Art, each of which is presided from a quoted Italian critic
and curator. This year Igor Zanti for Sculpture, Viviana
Siviero for Painting and Alessandro Trabucco for Photography,
supported by: - Stefano Coletto (curator of the Fondazione
Bevilaqua La Masa of Venezia), - Lorenzo Respi
(curator of the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro of Milano), -
Rossella Bertolazzi (director of the European Institute of
Design). This Jury will select the 90 finalists for the
exhibition in the Venice Arsenale.
- The main exhibition
-
The Arte Laguna Art Prize organizes the
final exhibition in the Arsenale of Venice, from the 6th to
the 27th of March 2010. This exclusive site, that usually is
open only for the Biennale, in this case will exhibits the 90
finalists of the Prize, 30 for each section. This it will be
the first of further exhibitions in several art galleries in
Italy and abroad.
- Business for Art
-
Since last edition Arte Laguna Prize
promotes the collaboration between Business and Art for
underlining the great opportunities that it rappresents. In
the previous edition, the Prize collaborates with “Capo
d’Opera” an Italian furniture and interior design company
where they select an artist for a special forniture.
This
year there is the Special Prize “Collezione Tenuta S.Anna -
Business for Art” that offers the possibility to all the
artists who register with two works to the Painting Section of
the Arte Laguna Art Prize to participate for free to this
competition until the 30th september 2009. The winner
will receive a prize of 5.000 euro and the possibility
to see its own works reproduced on the Tenuta S.Anna wine
labels that will be introduced in a very special occasion:
Vinitaly 2010, the more important international wine
fair.
- The International Collaborations

Arte Laguna Art Prize is patronaged by:
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Veneto Region, the
European Institute of Design and the Fine Art Accademy of
Venice.
Furthermore the Arte Laguna Prize collaborates
with: “Catch by the eye save in the heart" a project by
Magdalena Rutkowska that will have the special exhibition in
London; The Italian Culture Institute in Vienna with a special
exhibition (12-26 April 2010); The Promenade Gallery
Contemporary Art (Albania) and others Italian Art
Galleries in Venice, Milan, Napoles, Brescia, Feltre,
Alessandria and Rome with a personal exhibition of one of Arte
Laguna Prize artists.

Results -
For each winner was planned a personal
exhibition and several interviews for art magazines and radio.
Furthermore, among the finalists stood out in particular the
winners of painting and sculpure sections of the 2008 edition,
Pierluigi Febbraio and Dania Zanzotto, they were listed as
“piece of art suggested to buy” in the most important Italian
art magazine “Arte” edited by Mondadori. Moreover the
finalist sculptor artist of the 2008 edition Annalù was the
only Italian artist in the exhibition “Young Art Global 09” at
MOYA Museum of Vienna. Other finalists were called outside the
Prize for organizing personal or collective exhibitions around
the Italy as: “ArtFair in OpenCity” by Giudecca 795 Gallery in
Venice; “Ceres 4 Art 2009” by My Own Gallery in Milan; “Love
nest” by Wannabe Gallery in Milan; “Paolo Buzzi. Il silenzio
delle cose” by Pieri Gallery in Cesena; “CArNEAde” by Bianconi
Gallery in Milan; “Eludendo” by Zaion Gallery in Biella; “New
Art, New Pop III” by Galleria dell’Ombra in Venice; “New Art,
New Pop” by BROLO Culture and Art Centre in Mogliano Veneto.
The Arte Laguna Art Prize aim is to
follow the artists, their future carrer and to establish
furure collaborations among emerging and already affirmed
artists. Moreover it aims to support talented artists in the
promotion of their creativity, by giving them the possibility
to exhibit their artworks in expositive setting of high
quality and to receive the attention of media.
