Lower East Side Printshop, Inc. was founded in 1968 as a non-profit community arts center. Today, it supports contemporary artists by enabling them to create new artwork in the printmaking medium. Its studio facility serves as a lab for artists of all creative backgrounds and career stages to develop new work through experimentation and collaboration. Through public exhibitions and educational programs, it engages a broad arts community and the general public in contemporary art and printmaking. Serving over 130 artists each year, the Printshop is the largest studio residency program in New York City.
