Halle 11.2 - Booth
no.114
Mireille Mosler, Ltd. is pleased to
announce its participation in the Art Forum Berlin art fair,
opening this Thursday, October 30th. On view will be three
female American artists: Jenny Perlin,
Molly Springfield and Karen
Yasinsky.
All three artists explore memory, appropriation and the
process in which specific media reconstitutes experience
through drawings and drawing animation on film and video.
Included will be Molly Springfield's graphite
drawings that resemble poor-quality photocopies of textbooks
on conceptual art and a work based on the writings of Walter
Benjamin. Karen Yasinsky's drawing animation
Le Matin, based on Jean Vigo's 1934 film L'Atalante will be
accompanied by about thirty drawings related to the film.
Jenny Perlin's 16 mm film Flight will be
shown together with drawings of the artists' own airport
receipts collected on her international
travels.
