Artificial Image Award,

Initiated by Michael Maria Müller, the
award aims to encourage photographers to think about their own
exhibition. By placing photographs in frames, the photographer
may imagine an ideal setting for a possible exhibit. The
selected participant will win a high quality set of digitally
printed photographs and an exhibition of his/her works during
the European Month of Photography in Berlin (October 15th-

Frankfurt Deadline : 20 August,
2010Prove your talent and creativity with
a 30-second-film and win prizes in a total of 4.000 Euro. The
competition is open to young filmmakers up to 30. They must
have been born on or after 1.1.1980. Students, agency juniors
and free film-creative especially are called worldwide to take

International Arte Laguna PrizeThe
International Prize "Arte Laguna" starts the new edition with
the goal to promote young contemporary art. Remaining
consistent to the original purposes of its two creators, Laura
Gallon and Beatrice Susa, Arte Laguna Prize continues its

Projects - Belluard Bollwerk International Festival 2011,
Switzerland Deadline: October 18th
2010
The Festival Belluard Bollwerk
International and the Migros Culture Percentage are looking
for artistic projects that are dealing with hope. At the
beginning of the second decade of the 21st century hope seems
to occupy centre stage on the political and cultural scene.
Though a lot of the time no more than a rhetoric strategy to
get people in line on issues like ecological doom, global
confusion or political terror, a contemporary understanding of
hope might prove to be a useful strategy in constructing a
different perspective on our social and artistic attitudes.

2011 - Hordaland Art Centre, Norway Deadline: September 10th
2010Curators of all nationalities are
invited to propose an exhibition for Hordaland Art Centre,
Bergen, Norway for the 2011-programme. 2011 marks the 35th
year of the Hordaland Art Centre, and we are creating a
programme exploring ideas of histories and futures. We would
like the submitted proposals to reflect this focus in its own
way. The exhibition will be one of the six in 2011, and will
form a dialogue with the rest of the programme. Read On

Karlin Studios, Prague Deadline: July 30th
2010Following the renovation of a large
factory in Karlín, a former industrial quarter in Prague 8,
there was created a unique complex of art studios and
galleries called Karlin Studios that became the first of its
kind in Prague. The founder and initiator of this non-profit
project is FUTURA, o.s., which is also one of the members of
the Karlin Studios civic group. Read

Smack Mellon is currently
accepting proposals that consider the unusual architecture of
the gallery space for an exhibition featuring site-specific
projects. If you have applied in the last eight months with a
site specific proposal for any other program please do not

for Curatorial Proposals, Brooklyn Arts
Council Deadline: August 9,
2010BAC Gallery seeks proposals from
emerging and mid-career independent curators for its 2011
spring and fall exhibitions. This is an open curatorial call;
however, preference will be given to Brooklyn-based curators.
There is no application fee. All proposals must be for group
exhibitions of 3 or more artists, comprised of members of

The Wassaic Project Residency Program has been created to
cultivate and support community for emerging and professional
contemporary artists. Housed in a historic re-purposed
livestock auction barn, the Residency Program offers eight
artists the opportunity to live and work in the heart of a
rural community and offers three local artists studio
