The International Ibsen Scholarship Awards

The International Ibsen Scholarships were initiated by the Norwegian government and will be handed out for the 4th time in 2011. Scholarship funds amount to 1,000,000 NOK (approx. 125.000 Euro/160.000 US Dollars) will be awarded to Ibsen-related projects worldwide.

Three curators comprise the jury panel: Emily Zimmerman from EMPAC, Meagan Hyde from Tang Museum and Judy Cozzy from The New York State Musuem. The jurors will select 60 - 80 artworks by artists from around the world. Acquisitions of artwork at Sunnyview Hospital are acquired through a professionally managed exhibition for artists with disabilities.

COAL Prize Art & Environment 2011

The COAL Art & Environment prize was launched in 2010 by the French association COAL, the coalition for art and sustainable development, to reward a project about the environment by a contemporary artist. The winner is chosen by a jury of personalities from the worlds of contemporary art, research, ecology and sustainable development, out of 10 finalists selected from an international call for entries.
