Ethnographic Terminalia is an initiative that brings artists and anthropologists together to engage emerging research through installation and exhibition.

Sweeping up the Mess is a juried exhibit of painting, sculpture, poetry, and other art forms inspired by, and which make use of, custodial supplies.

Painting, prints, drawing, photography and sculpture are accepted, the only criteria being that works should not exceed 20 inches in their largest dimension and that all works must be for sale. Artists may submit up to six works. An exhibition of selected works will take place at The Mall Galleries, London from 10 - 20 November 2011.

Every year Bupa Great North Run Culture awards an artist or film-maker £30,000 to create a new moving image work in response to the world's largest half-marathon.

Photographers based or born in either Australia or UK are invited to submit 12-18 digital images from a series/body of work for consideration. Multiple series can be submitted together. The Boston Center for the Arts (BCA) is accepting applications for the Artist Residency Program. This fifteen-week, non-traditional, process-oriented residency is awarded to two individuals artists per year (no groups or collaborative pairs). Through a series of community programs jointly developed by the artist and the BCA, it allows artists to connect to the public and explore themes that inform their residency project.

Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC), in partnership with V3 Hotels, seeks artwork by Brooklyn-based artists to be purchased for Hotel 718, a brand new boutique hotel in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn, New York. Brooklyn-based visual artists working in photography, painting, drawing, sculpture and mixed media are encouraged to apply. Video works will not be considered for this project.
