The Art Show Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) February 22 - 26, 2007 Seventh Regiment Armory Park Avenue at 67th Street. The Art Dealers Association of America, the nation's leading art dealers, will present a select group of member exhibitors at the nineteenth annual Art Show. Seventy of the nation's most prominent art dealers will exhibit paintings, sculpture, drawings, prints, and photographs by artists of all periods, from the 15th century to modern and contemporary masters. Works of art valued at thousands to millions of dollars will be shown. Scope Lincoln Center Damrosch Park Corner of 62 Street and 10th Avenue Scope New York returns for a sixth- straight year to challenge passive viewing, giving visitors a view of the contemporary art world available nowhere else. This year, Scope New York 2007 is proud to announce its new location, a 25,000 square- foot pavilion at New York's most famous cultural icon, The Lincoln Center. Continuing its mandate to redefine what an art fair is, this year's Scope New York will take advantage of its unique location with a large-scale outdoor sculpture garden, featuring Scope exhibiting artists. Additionally, fairgoers will be able to survey Scope's programs, curatorial projects and performances in their entirety from an artist designed, two-story bar and VIP lounge that is situated in the middle of the fair. Pulse PULSE New York February 22 - 25 69th Regiment Armory The 69th Regiment Armory was home to the legendary 1913 Armory Show and the inaugural Armory Show and is conveniently located on Lexington Avenue and 26th Street. PULSE New York returns after the record-breaking sales and near-double attendance that PULSE Miami had in December 2006, which drew close to 12,000 attendees, including major collectors and art patrons. In its second year, PULSE New York will feature high- quality works from 61 established and emerging galleries from 15 countries, including additions from Israel, China and Korea. PULSE, is a biannual invitational contemporary art fair, that will coincide with The Armory Show February 22- 25, 2007. The Fair has been created to bridge the gap between established and alternative art fairs and will feature a range of international galleries that have strong and consistent exhibition programs and aesthetics. LA ART in New York Following the success of its inaugural show, LA Art in New York has expanded in 2007 to include 23 prominent Los Angeles galleries in a larger venue. LA ART in New York has distinguished itself from other contemporary art fairs by specifically highlighting the enormous talents and resources of the Los Angeles art community. The participating galleries are among Los Angeles' most respected art dealers, reflecting the strength and diversity of the West Coast art scene. These galleries will be exhibiting exceptional works by established artists and ambitious newcomers from Los Angeles and abroad. Fountain Williamsburg, Brooklyn's most forward-thinking and cutting-edge galleries, Capla Kesting Fine Art, Ch'i Contemporary Fine Art, Front Room, Glowlab, McCaig- Welles and Outrageous Look have collaborated to present "Fountain New York 2007". Expect floor-to- ceiling displays of brand- new works, bold installations, impromptu performance events and the best parties of the weekend, as this exhibition makes its mark in a massive 5000 square foot space at: 660 Twelfth Avenue, a few blocks from the Armory show at Pier 94. "Fountain" is a guerrilla-style art fair - under the radar, independent and highly influential. This independent aspect gives Fountain its edge: young Brooklyn based galleries showcasing fresh work without official booth spaces or selection committee juries. RED DOT PARK SOUTH HOTEL 122 East 28th Street February 23 - 26 RED DOT is a vetted, hotel-based art fair in New York where approximately 40 galleries will show and sell works to the public on two adjacent floors of the elegant Park South Hotel. Galleries participating in RED DOT come from across the US and abroad. RED DOT’s roster includes young dealers exhibiting for the first time, as well as more established dealers turned off by the pressures of other art fairs. M*A*S*H February 22-26 The Helena @ 601 west 57th street. M*A*S*H New York is an all-media group show taking place during The Armory Show and The Art Show. Curated by Omar Lopez-Chahoud and Amy Smith-Stewart, the exhibition will present a fresh look at the current state of the art world. M*A*S*H New York will be the second installment in a series of shows produced by Cottelston Advisors/Michael Sellinger. The exhibition will present a dynamic and diverse survey of work by early career artists. The space is 2 blocks from The Armory Show on the ground floor of a brand new building. There are approximately 3,600 square feet.
